He is a third generation African, born and bred in the bustling city of Johannesburg, South Africa. Great informative content
Biodiversity and Environment Africa delivers impactful and informative content on a range of environmental issues and species across Africa. In addition, we are developing a vast range of reference books and field guides as well as downloadable PDF documents.
Excellence in Biodiversity Assessments
With over three decades of field experience in Africa combined with an extensive database and reference library, we can generate accurate biodiversity datasets for use in Environmental Impact Assessments and Biodiversity Conservation Strategies. Our expertise cover botanical, vertebrate, and invertebrate groups.
Nici Schmidt
Nici Schmidt is the author of Earthing the Wired Generation: Stress Relief for Busy Kids. She also produces content on Health and Wellbeing for Biodiversity & Environment Africa. Nici’s background in sociology led her to the complementary health field where she has been a registered therapeutic reflexologist & meridian therapist. With 20 years in the field, she has found that natural therapies and nutrition can play a significant role in supporting the healing process. Outside of the therapy room, Nici has come to appreciate that true wellbeing is not only about what we do for ourselves. We are all dependant on our natural environment. A fully holistic approach to health involves experiencing and protecting the rich biodiversity of our planet.
